Whimsy Inspiration - Good Times!

Hi Everyone!!
Time to share a little Whimsy Inspiration!
OK... Don't everyone fall off your chairs! I know this is a VERY unusual card for me lol! But it was my Lil Bro's birthday the other day and I wanted to make him something 'different', that wasn't all cute and flowers!

I pretty much based the whole card around the Sentiment "Good Times" by Raindrop Echo. It's from her "Fast Lane Sentiments" available at Whimsy Stamps, and was perfect cause it just reminded me of when my lil Bro says... "ahhh... Good Times!"
And then I had to try and think of something else to put on the card ;) Then I remembered he recently went to a Lego exhibition that was traveling around Oz, and we were remembering the good old days of playing with Lego....
So there you have it - A slightly unusual card based around one simple sentiment!

Happy Birthday Lil Bro - love ya heaps! xox

Thanks for visiting, and have a great week!!
Love & Hugs,

Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #40

Hi Everyone!!
Welcome to another great Whimsy Inspiration Challenge! Our theme this week is "Vintage / Shabby Chic!"
You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

I love Vintage / Shabby Chic style cards - but have so much trouble making them... I always seem to neaten all the 'shabbiness' up! But it's definitely a style I want to try more of as there are so many fab ways to create with it.
For this card I used the pretty "Blooming Border 2" image by StampArt Design by Kathryne. I used the image twice to make a frame (digis are so much fun to play with like this!), and popped a sweet sentiment in the centre from "Flowers in Bloom" Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs.
The gorgeous Digi papers are Michele R Designs "Basic Vintage Papers", also from Whimsy Stamps, and they are the perfect set for this theme! The butterfly is cut from this paper set too, with the wings folded up too look like it's fluttering.
Hope you like it!
And another angle...

So join us for this weeks Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #40 - "Vintage / Shabby Chic"!

Whimsy Inspiration - Meera

Hi Everyone!!
Just thought I'd pop in today to share a little Whimsy Inspiration!
I made this card for Issue 8 of the Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Magazine. If you haven't been reading these wonderful online magazines then you REALLY need to check them all out HERE! They are absolutely bursting with inspiration, tutorials, and the most amazing talent (I feel SO privileged to be working with these girls!).
As I hadn't shown this card on my blog I thought it was time I did! I used Lia Stampz beautifully Indian influenced "Meera" image, and just a computer generated sentiment. The papers were from a Bella! 'Oriental Chic' paper pad - and luckily fit with how I'd already coloured her sari!

Hope you like it!

Thanks for visiting, and have a great week!!

Sundays with Crissy Challenge #29--Things with Wings AND Whimsy Inspiration Challenge #38

Hi Everyone!
This weeks card double dips for both my Sunday's with Crissy and Whimsy Inspiration Challenge! I made it for my 'Crissy card'... but then realised it was too perfectly matched for this weeks Whimsy challenge not to use it!

So here we go! Firstly...

Welcome to another great Whimsy Inspiration Challenge! Our theme this week is "Make It Pop!"  (For example add some dimension to your card... or however you interpret it!)
You don't have to use a Whimsy image, but it would be great if you did! And it doesn't have to be a card - we welcome all paper projects. Don't forget to check out the challenge details - and your chance to be a Guest Designer with us - over at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog!

And now....

Welcome to another new challenge at "Sundays with Crissy"!! Our theme for May is... "Things with Wings!"
What a fabulous challenge this month - so many wonderful images to choose from! I was tempted by the beautiful butterflies, but in the end couldn't go past the adorably chubby cheeks and fluttery wings of "Cute Cupid" by Crissy Armstrong (of course!), available from the fabulous Whimsy Stamps.

So now it's your turn... Make your way back over to the Sundays with Crissy blog and play along too - I can't wait to see your "Things with Wings" creations! You can enter at Sarah's Post - Here!

And now for my card....

I decided Crissy's "Cute Cupid" should be among the clouds, so I used the awesome new Shape EZ Cloud Card Template also from Whimsy Stamps - love this template and it was so easy to use! I just distressed the edges to try to make it look a little more fluffy and 'cloud-like', and edged it with Stardust Stickles.
Of course I double mounted Cute Cupid and popped him on a cloud for his comfort!

Hope you like it!

And to show how it opens...

Hope you all have a fabulous and creative week!

Love & Hugs,
